Welcome to the NTAEP home page. Our group is composed of environmental professionals from the greater Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas Metroplex. Our group meets during the lunch hour on the third Wednesday of each month except for the summer months of June through August. Our meetings feature a speaker and time for networking. What are the new TCEQ walkthrough inspection requirements, when do they begin, and what do you need to know & look for while performing these inspections? This new requirement is being implemented to detect leaks in underground storage tank systems sooner, rather than later.

 

Biography: Lonnie Gilley

Current Position

Lonnie is an environmental investigator/technical specialist in the Petroleum Storage Tank Section in the TCEQ DFW Region Office where he is responsible for regulatory oversight and inspection of corrective action activities at leaking petroleum storage tank (LPST) sites, emergency response investigations for imminent endangerment situations, compliance investigations of underground storage tank (UST) systems, and inspections of UST system installations, removals, upgrades and repairs.

Prior Experience and Education

Lonnie has a B.S. in Biology from the University of Texas at Arlington. In addition, he is a licensed Registered Environmental Manager (REM). He has been with the Commission since December 1st of 1991. Prior to coming to the TCEQ, Lonnie was employed by Ecology and Environment in Dallas, Texas where he performed environmental sampling, assessments, and prepared hazard ranking system (HRS) reports for federal Superfund facilities.
