Meeting

Dr. Alan Skinner of AR Consultants will be presenting "Drivers of

Archaeological Investigations."

This presentation very briefly explains what drives the need to do archaeological investigations and presents some examples of the variety of historic and prehistoric finds that we have made in the North Texas Area.

Dr. Skinner, the president and founder of AR Consultants, Inc., has contributed to the field of archaeology for more than four decades. Notably, he has worked on Civil War-era sites in Texas such as salt works near Tyler, a log cabin site near College Station, and Confederate earthworks at Gonzales. He also developed the archaeology merit badge for the Boy Scouts of America.
